Storytelling has always been a passion of mine, though writing more seriously is something I have only properly returned to in the last couple of years. It became a form of escapism for me at first during the bad times and has become so much more than that now.
Generally I write dark fantasy and horror based stories and Pagan inspired works, supernatural, romance and erotic stories all among my favourite genres. I have been know to dabble in more modern setting as well though they usually have a fantasy/supernatural/action twist to them as I find these types of stories really motivate me and keep me interested.
I have participated in NanoWriMo a couple of years in the past and enjoyed the challenge and sheer thrill of just writing such a huge amount in such a short space of time. It has been an excellent learning curve and taught me that really that getting the story out is the most important thing. It doesn’t matter what form it comes out in or how good it is when it spews onto the page only that it makes an appearance.
I’m currently working on a fantasy novel encorporating my writing and art with both the story telling and world building processes. It’s a project I’m very enthusiastic about and one that I try to dedicate time every week towards getting a little further down the road to it’s completion.
Occasionally I post poems, excerpts of my stories and different writings though I am less confident in my creative writing than I am my art. It’s something I love and never wish to give up despite being told a few times that the two aspects of creativity (art and writing) are not compatible in one person. I don’t believe this, I follow my creativity wherever it leads me!
