Simple Photo Album.

My other creation today was a simple photo album, made as a gift for my nan and grandad. I have had such a lovely summer so far with the kids and managed to get some nice pictures of them during our numerous activities and holidays. I tried to email a few of the photographs to them but alas, due to technical difficulties it was not meant to be. Instead I decided to print out the ones I had chosen for my mum to take round there over the weekend when she goes to see them, then today I decided to go one better.

It’s only small, the printed pictures mounted onto fairly thick decent quality black paper/card, holes punched through the left side and a fairly plain black cover made.

Twine holds the pages together and there is minimal decor on the front but I think it works pretty well and hopefully will give them a way to keep and view the photographs that is simple, clean and will help to keep them safe 🙂

Mother’s Day Gift

MothersDayCandleUnlit2011MothersDayCandleLit2011

I had absolutely no idea what to get for Mum for Mother’s Day this year. After much deliberation an experiment I had been working on became her gift. The pictures are a little dark, the green of the candle holder is a fair bit lighter in reality, though I finished it one evening and had to photograph it and wrap it before the morning.

I’m really pleased with the results and how viable stamping the glass turned out to be. The beads were a late edition when I realised it needed something more and most importantly, Mum loves it so I will definitely be taking this as a success and making more in the future.
